MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

All X-Yachts are built in accordance with the European CE-Certification and meet the requirements of the CE-directive 94/25/CE (category A –“ocean”) for recreational crafts. One of the requirements, the category defines, is that a yacht must be designed to operate in waves of up to 7 m and winds of Beaufort force 10 or less.
​The directive sets a minimum standard for:
​Hull and deck strength; structural bulkheads and stringer; keel and rudder and their attachment to the hull; safety and stability; engine and gas installation; sea cocks, technical manuals and documentation for all major installations.
​The yacht’s wooden interior is made of mahogany in a hand polished satin finish. All carpentry is carried out in accordance with best yacht practice, and the numbers of visible screws have been reduced to a minimum. The deck headliner has integrated dome halogen spotlights.
​In the forward cabin a white push button blind is supplied for the deck hatch.
​The floorboards are made from plywood with contour stripes and allow access to the bilge, whereas the companionway steps are made of teak.
​The inner tope sides are lined with white vinyl.

Forward cabin

The cabin has a hinged berth (200x170/65 wide) with easy access to the three compartments below. For cloth, the modern design incorporates a double wardrobe with shelves and hangers (90x55 cm deep). Natural light from the skylight is employed to compliment the polished mahogany woodwork, achieving a warm and cosy atmosphere, also during daylight.

Aft berths

Under the cockpit floor, the aft sleeping berths are separated into two sections via a centre wooden longitudinal bulkhead. Two berths are 200 x 130 cm wide tapered towards the aft end.

Head

The head has a water-flushed pump toilet and white gelcoat units with integrated sink with mixer tap. A holding tank with self-draining outlet, tank level watch and deck outlet can be fitted (see extras).

Engine compartment

Situated below the companionway with excellent access and sound insulation with special foam material.

Saloon

On each side of the rectangular shaped, foldable table (110x100 cm) are two large sofas (190 cm long). The table also has a built-in locker.

Navigation area

To starboard of the companionway, the navigation table is situated together with the top opening 100 l GRP cooling box. This can be cooled efficiently by a Isotherm refrigerator unit.

Navigation and communication equipment as well as the yacht’s switchboard are fitted in this area. Under the hinged navigation table (50x60 cm deep) and in the alongside locker, charts and navigation equipment can be stored.

Galley

To port of the companionway is the galley with a rectangular sink with a tap integrated in laminated tabletops and a s/s gimballed gas stove with 2 jets and an oven.
​A 2 kg gas bottle is stored in a separate self-draining locker.
​Shelves and lockers with plexi-glass sliding doors give sufficient storage space for food, plates, cutlery, pans, cups and glasses.

Engine

A 3-cylinder 20 HP diesel engine mounted on rubber suspension with S-drive installation and 2-bladed folding propeller.
​The engine is run with freshwater cooling system. The engine control panel is placed in a recess with a plexiglass for protection.
​It incorporates acoustic alarm for oil pressure and cooling water temperature as standard.
​The throttle arm is placed in the cockpit coaming.

​The yacht is fitted with a shore power charger with a 10A shore power inlet plug in the cockpit. A 10A fuse box is located in the aft locker.
